밤이 깊어졌다.
도시는 잠들었지만,
어떤 이들의 시선은 깨어 있었다.

Night had fallen.
The city slept,
but some eyes remained wide open.

엘리자 레이든.
그녀는 또 다른 현장을 찾고 있었다.
이번엔 뉴저지 외곽,
비밀 경호원 훈련소 인근 폐허였다.

Eliza Rayden.
She was chasing another scene.
This time, an abandoned site
near a private security training ground in New Jersey.

"저기요, 혹시… 그 밤, 여기서 무슨 소리 못 들으셨어요?"

“Excuse me… did you hear anything strange that night?”

엘리자는 노숙자로 보이는
노인을 붙잡고 물었다.

Eliza questioned an old man
who appeared to be homeless.

그 노인은 처음엔 침묵했지만,
이내 덜덜 떨며 중얼거렸다.

At first, the man stayed silent,
then murmured with a trembling voice.

“그림자였어… 사람처럼 안 보였어…
소리도 없었고… 사람 하나가 증발했지.”

“It was a shadow… not human…
Made no sound… someone just vanished.”

엘리자는 숨을 삼켰다.
‘그’가 또 움직인 것이다.

Eliza held her breath.
‘He’ had struck again.

반면, 루크는
엘리자의 존재를 느끼고 있었다.
그녀가 자신을 추적하고 있다는 걸
이미 알고 있었다.

Meanwhile,
Luke had sensed her presence.
He already knew
she was following him.

"엘리자 레이든… 진실을 쫓는 자."

“Eliza Rayden… the seeker of truth.”

그의 눈빛이 흔들렸다.
과거의 그녀는…
자신이 죽기 전,
가장 믿었던 인물 중 하나였다.

His eyes trembled.
In the past,
she was one of the few
he had truly trusted before his death.

엘리자는 좁은 골목 어귀에 숨어
누군가의 발자국 소리를 기다렸다.
그리고 마침내—
그림자 하나가,
벽을 따라 스르르 미끄러졌다.

Eliza hid in the mouth of a narrow alley,
waiting for footsteps.
And then—
a shadow
slid silently across the wall.

그녀는 셔터를 눌렀다.
찰칵.

She pressed her camera’s shutter.
Click.

순간, 그 그림자가
고개를 돌렸다.
엘리자와 눈이 마주쳤다.

The shadow turned.
And locked eyes with her.

루크는 조용히 입술을 움직였다.
그녀는 입모양으로 읽었다.

Luke moved his lips silently.
She read his mouth.

“그만 따라와, 엘리자.
이건… 네가 감당할 수 없어.”

“Stop following me, Eliza.
This… is beyond you.”
